We aspire to use as much of what is given to Hope of Nations for meeting real needs of real people…both physical and spiritual. “let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” -1 John 3:18

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

Though the apostle Paul made it clear that it was appropriate for a working pastor to take pay from the congregation for his labor (see 1 Corinthians 9:9) he personally went out of his way to not take funds and to even give funds so that they could do more to help those in need. He encourages this example to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:35 as he reminds them that Jesus himself taught “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” For this reason the pastors at Hope of Nations are doing their best to stay funded through other sources and not take a salary. The pastors and congregation will continue to seek the Lord for wisdom on this if Hope of Nations grows and their is greater need for full time ministers.
